How to donate items, time or money to our Historical Society
All donations are greatly appreciated and are used wisely to maintain the Little Red Schoolhouse and to help keep Poland’s past alive for the future. Financial donations will support artifact preservation and the maintenance of The Little Red Schoolhouse. We welcome the donation of materials such as documents of local historical interest, photographs, family genealogy and artifacts or objects relating to our area. Since our space at The Little Red Schoolhouse is very limited, we will usually only accept those items relating to Poland Township.
We have a wealth of memorabilia donated by citizens which will be incorporated in our collection and can be viewed and studied by any interested party. You will need to call the LRS and leave a message for us to call you and set up a time when we can have a representative there to assist you. (330-536-6877)
Anyone interested in the task of going over old documents, pictures, etc. is welcome to join us when we meet later this spring to organize them so they can be easily located by interested parties.
Several ladies from the Blackburn home were visitors in Sept of 2012. Before their visit, the Home had given us a piano that they no longer could use. It was a welcomed gift and we enjoyed their visit.
