- SAGINAW DRIVE LIGHTING DISTRICT
- The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a Public Hearing on October 11, 2017 @ 5:51 p.m. at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland Ohio.
- Mr. Filicky leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. Scharville takes roll call Mr. Lidle - present, Ms. Wollet – present, Mr. Ungaro – present.
- The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Saginaw Drive Lighting District, in which the meeting has been properly advertised.
- Mr. Lidle explains how the hearing procedure by law works. To those who are for the Lighting District and those who are against the Lighting District. He will ask three times for individuals to come forward.
- Chairman Lidle calls for the first time anyone in favor of the Saginaw Drive Lighting District to please come forward. Mr. Harshad Desai of 2690 Saginaw Dr. comes forward and indicates he would like the specifics first before deciding .Mr. Scharville states the specifics. Three new lights will be added to the three existing poles. The total cost will be $2106.35 in which will be divided among the residents on Saginaw and to be billed twice a year, which will be added taxes.
- Chairman Lidle asks Mr. Desai if he is for or against, Mr. Desai is in favor.
- Chairman Lidle asks for the second time anyone in favor to come forward. John Hazen of 2636 Saginaw Rd. is in favor of the Lighting District.
- Chairman Lidle asks for the third and final time anyone in favor to come forward. Mr. Scharville speaks out to inform that Patricia Antonelli of 2665 Saginaw Drive who passed the petitions around is also in favor and all ten residents have signed the petition.
- Chairman Lidle states with that being said we will now ask for those who are opposed to the Saginaw Lighting District please come forward and be heard. Mr. Lidle asks for the second time those who are opposed please come forward…….. and for the third and final time those opposed please come forward……..
- Chairman Lidle moves to approve the Saginaw Drive Lighting District Resolution #17-18. Seconded by Wollet. Voting Yes- Mr. Lidle, Ms. Wollet – Yes and Mr. Ungaro – Yes. Motion carried.
- Mr. Lidle moves to adjourn the Saginaw Lighting District Meeting. Seconded by Wollet. Voting Yes- Mr. Lidle, Ms. Wollet and Mr. Ungaro- Yes. Motion carried.
