                                                                                 SPECIAL MEETING

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Tuesday, October 29, 2019,

at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Administration Building located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.

The purpose of the meeting was to approve a contract between the Poland Schools and Township Trustees for the School Resource Officer, to discuss the 2019 township paving program with the inspectors and contractors and go into executive session to discuss applicants to the police department.  The news media had been properly notified. 

Chairman Ungaro called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. 

Lou Mateo led everyone present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call was taken and present were trustees Ungaro, Kempers and Wollet.

Chairman Ungaro moved to approve Resolution #19-33 (First Addendum to the agreement

by and between Poland Township Board of Trustees and Poland Local School District)

motion seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Roll call vote:  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Next order of business was to discuss the 2019 township paving program, representatives from ms consultants and Lindy paving were present to discuss the final approvals a lengthy discussion followed, with the township, engineers, and contractor in agreement of specified work to be completed.

Chairman Ungaro moved to go into executive session at 6:15 p.m. to interview applicants to the Police Department seconded by Trustees Wollet:  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Out of executive session at 7:55 p.m.

Chairman Ungaro moved to adjourn at 7:56 p.m. seconded by Trustee Wollet: Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers.

Meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
